Pro Tips:

  • Always turn off power at the breaker before working with wires. Seriously. Your eyebrows will thank you.
  • If your Hunter fan has a remote and a wall switch, the switch should stay ON for the remote to work.
  • Label wires as you disconnect them from old fixtures. Trust us, you’ll forget what’s what in approximately 0.7 seconds.

When in Doubt…

Check your Hunter fan manual for model-specific diagrams. If you lost it (which, let’s be real, happens), you can usually find it on the Hunter Fan website—or just shout into the void and hope someone on a forum from 2008 still cares.

Wiring can feel overwhelming, but once you match the colors and know what goes where, it’s actually kind of fun—like adult LEGOs but with a higher risk of electrocution!

  1. I would like a wire diagram for a hunter fan model number 25630 it stopped running and I called and the nice person on the phone asked me to boats the module and run it with the pull chain to see if it’s the module or the motor. But I still don’t have the original wiring diagram of what wire goes to what. Thank you
